Mr. Novack came to the firm after serving his civic duty as a prosecutor for the State Attorney's Office in Orange and Osceola Counties. During his time with the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Novack was designated a "DUI Specialist" for Orange County and was always a point man for his fellow co-workers to turn to in explaining the ins and outs of DUI prosecution and defense. Mr. Novack was among six in a class of twenty-seven to be promoted as a felony prosecutor after only one year's time. Prior to being promoted, Mr. Novack earned the trust of this bureau chief and was awarded his own division.  As a former Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Novack had numerous criminal jury trials throughout his career, which included but not limited to DUI, reckless driving, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest by a law enforcement officer with violence, fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, grand theft/grand theft auto, possession of cocaine/cannabis and paraphenalia, delivery of cocaine, robbery, and assisted in trial for offenses ranging from home invasion robbery, second degree murder, and sexual battery.

Prior to leaving the State Attorney's Office, Mr. Novack became only the second prosecutor in Orange County ever be certified as a DUI Instructor. Mr. Novack received his formal training by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) at the University of North Florida, Jacksonville. Mr. Novack received the same training that specialized police officers undergo who effectuate DUI investigations and arrests. He is certified to teach Field Sobriety Exercises and Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus sobriety test procedures to law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Florida.  In addition, Mr. Novack has completed the Breath Technician Operator course, which is an advanced/specialized training course for law enforcement or correctional officers who wish to become certified as Intoxilzer Breath Test Operators.  The course is responsible for training the operation of the Intoxilyzer 8000 breath machine and administration of a breath test after a motorist has been arrested.
 
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Novack is actively involved in
his community. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Central Florida Asociation of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and Orange County Bar Association. In his spare time, Mr. Novack enjoys training for upcoming bicycle races including the "Tour de Cure," which is sponsored by the American Diabetes Association.
